Peer Review Process

The Journal of Economic, Management and Business Studies (JEMBS) uses a double-blind peer review system to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic contribution of all submitted manuscripts.

Review Stages:

1. Initial Screening

   • The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for scope, formatting, originality, and plagiarism.

   • Manuscripts that do not meet basic criteria are returned to the authors.

2. Double-Blind Review

   • Each eligible manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

   • Both author and reviewer identities are kept anonymous to ensure impartiality.

3. Review Criteria

   • Relevance to the journal scope

   • Originality and contribution to knowledge

   • Clarity of research objectives and methodology

   • Depth of analysis and discussion

   • Accuracy of conclusions

   • Proper citation and ethical compliance

4. Editorial Decision

   • Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may decide:

     • Accept

     • Accept with Minor Revisions

     • Revise and Resubmit (Major Revisions)

     • Reject

   • Authors are notified of the decision and provided with feedback.

5. Revision and Final Review

   • Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers.

   • Final decisions are made by the editorial board.

6. Publication

   • Once accepted, the article is copyedited, typeset, and published online in the upcoming issue.

Review Timeline

• The average review process takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and revision speed.
