Peer Review Process

VOKASINDO: Jurnal Terapan Bisnis, Agribisnis, dan Informatika applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic rigor of all published articles.

1. Review Model

This journal adopts a Double-Blind Peer Review, in which:

Authors do not know the identity of reviewers

Reviewers do not know the identity of authors

This model ensures objectivity, fairness, and impartial evaluation.

2. Review Workflow

The peer review process consists of the following stages:

Stage 1: Initial Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor conducts an initial evaluation to ensure that the manuscript:

Fits the journal’s focus and scope

Meets basic quality standards

Complies with formatting guidelines

Passes plagiarism screening (≤ 15%)

Outcome:

Proceed to peer review

Return to author for revision

Desk rejection

Stage 2: Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts passing initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers.

Reviewers are selected based on expertise, research background, and publication experience.

Conflicts of interest are strictly avoided.

Stage 3: Peer Review Process

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

Originality

Scientific quality

Methodological rigor

Clarity of presentation

Relevance and contribution to knowledge

Ethical compliance

Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations.

Review duration: 2–4 weeks.

Stage 4: Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer reports, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

Accept

Minor Revision

Major Revision

Reject

Authors receive anonymous reviewer comments for improvement.

Stage 5: Revision and Re-review

Authors must revise manuscripts according to reviewer comments.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

Stage 6: Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on:

Reviewer recommendations

Quality of revisions

Editorial standards

3. Timeframe

Initial screening: 3–7 days

Peer review: 2–4 weeks

Author revision: 1–3 weeks

Final decision: 3–7 days

Total estimated processing time: 4–8 weeks.

4. Reviewer Ethics and Responsibilities

Reviewers must:

Maintain confidentiality

Declare conflicts of interest

Provide objective and constructive feedback

Respect intellectual property

Follow COPE ethical guidelines

5. Confidentiality Policy

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents and shared only with authorized editorial staff and assigned reviewers.

6. Handling Conflicts of Interest

Reviewers and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Manuscripts with conflicts are reassigned to alternative reviewers.

7. Appeals and Complaints

Authors may submit appeals regarding editorial decisions. Appeals are reviewed by the Editorial Board, and the final decision is communicated transparently.
